03 Apr Warm Welcome in Cold Mongolia

After months of training, meeting partners for funds, and more than 12 hours of travel from Manila, we finally arrived at Chinggis Khan International Airport. The coldness of the city was no match to the warmth of the team who welcomed us at the airport. Some members of Every Nation Church Mongolia helped us settle in our hotel. It was there where we handed them a special gift from the Philippines – an electro-acoustic guitar for their worship team.

It was such a relief to find a working a/c system at NAIA Terminal 1. Actually, we’re just glad that all of us made it through the airport amidst all the mishaps that happened earlier today. And yes, this is our haggard but glad-we-made-it faces.

An obligatory shot before boarding from ICN to UBN. A few hours left and we’d be arriving to Mongolia.

It was -4C when we arrived but we had thewarmest welcome from some members of EN Mongolia. The banner was handcrafted by Ptr Oyuna’s kids: Anna, Jemi, and Esther. They drove us to our hotel shortly after.

Before the locals leave from our hotel, we handed over a special gift from the Philippines — with a few decals. We gave it to my friend Saki, who’s one of the worship leaders in Ulaanbaatar.
